CCWD Avery Waterline Repair Update....Water Restored in Some Homes....Progress Being Made on Remainder |

Avery, CA....Just received and update from CCWD on the waterline repairs being made in the Avery area today. Water pressure coming back up in some of the homes now and service should be restored in remainder withing the next two hours....

San Andreas, CA....The Calaveras County Water District (CCWD) announces a planned water outage on Friday, December 27, 2013 beginning at 7am to 3pm. CCWD will be making water line repairs necessitating the shut off. Water shut off will affect the following areas in the Ebbetts Pass Highland Subdivision consisting of Avery-Sheep Ranch Road, Blue Bird Lane, Bird Dog Circle, Gray Mare Road, Roan Way, Sorrel, Blackbird Lane and businesses around the Avery Post Office...

Local Schools Help The Food Bank |

Angels Camp, CA...In an effort to provide a donation to the Resource Connection Food Bank, the Calaveras County Office of Education reached out to county schools asking for donations of canned and non-perishable food items. We received generous donations from Kathi Grover’s class at Albert Michelson School, Jacey Bray’s class at Bret Harte High School, and Jane Ferguson’s class at Mountain Oaks School. We wish to thank them as well as Bret Harte Leadership students Sean Krpan and Brandon Kelly, Calaveras River Academy students Mike Vasco, Alex Mooshi, and Austin Underhill for helping us build a canned food tree in our lobby. Because of the effort and generosity of these individuals and all others involved in the food drive, CCOE was able to make a sizeable donation to the food bank this holiday season...
