Cole Bilderback, 19 Died Early this Morning, His Father David Bilderback, 47 Charged in His Death

Avery, CA...The victim of this morning's homicide in Avery has been identified as 19 year old Cole Bilderback. His father, 47 year old David Bilderback was booked in the Calaveras County Jail on the charge of 187(a)PC-murder and he is being held with $2,000,000 bail. No further details are being released at this time.

Murphys, CA...Born July 11, 1927 to William Tolliver Harper II and Ollie May Cole in Stockton CA entered into eternal peace surrounded by family on September 16, 2017 in Murphys following a short illness. William was preceded in death by parents William and Ollie Harper, sister Mildred Jane Moran, son Herbert Allen Harper, and grandson Vincent Thomas Egan Harper. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Bonnie Maxine Harper, children William Tolliver Harper IV (Victoria), Robert Jeffery Harper (Therese), Thomas Athearn Harper (Pam), Donald Prince Harper (Susan), Mary Elizabeth Harper, 9 precious grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, sister-in-law Mary Jeanne Bissell, 3 nephews, 1 niece, and many cousins including a very special cousin Dorothy Mae Bramwell.

Crista Haynes, 62 from Rio Vista lost her Life in Hwy 4 Collision

Angels Camp, CA...Bennington was driving her Jeep eastbound on SR-4 east of Stallion Way at approximately 30-40 miles per hour. Haynes was riding her Harley Davidson westbound on SR-4 at approximately 70 miles per hour approaching the Jeep's location. Haynes passed two vehicles over the solid double yellow lines and attempted to reposition back within the westbound lane. As Haynes moved into the westbound lane, she entered a right hand curve in the roadway.

Murphys, CA...Russ (81) was born and raised in Mt. Pocono, PA. He was enlisted in the Air Force from 1954 – 1958 as a jet engine mechanic. Dodie (81) was born in Hastings, NB. They both eventually made their way and met each other in Murphys, CA. They blended their two families when they married in November of 1976.

La Grange, CA...On Saturday around 11:30 PM, the Sheriff’s Office received a report of a possible boating accident just North of the Fleming Meadows boat ramp on Lake Don Pedro in La Grange. The reporting person had seen two flares discharged over the water from Fleming Campground.

Mountain Ranch, CA...In loving memory of Donald R Starks, age 64 of Mountain Ranch, California, passed away peacefully after a brief illness at Mark Twain Medical Center in San Andreas on 9- 3 -17. Donald served in the Air Force and attended Grossmont College in San Diego. he enjoyed gardening, camping and winemaking. He is survived by wife Mona Starks of Mountain Ranch, daughter Yvonne Starks of Ukiah, son Robbie Starks of Scotts Valley and stepdaughter Chrystal Ayres of Santa Cruz. He has three grandchildren Dylan, James and Jack. he leaves behind a brother, Tim and sisters, Pat and Debbie.

Murphys, CA...Ernesto P. Gutierrez passed away on July 29, 2017 at UCSF. His wife and children were by his side. Ernesto was born July 9, 1941 in Mexico City, Mexico. From his youth through the last days of his life he was an energetic and friendly person. As a child he sold light bulbs door to door and later Encyclopedia Britannica. In 1968, he received a degree in mechanical engineering from Politecnico University “ESIME.” His first job as an engineer was with an American company, Fisher and Porter. He traveled the Mexican Republic calibrating and selling pumps and pressure systems in sugar and petroleum refineries.
