Calaveras County, CA...According to Earth911.com, the EPA estimates that 24% of the U.S. municipal solid waste is composed of food remnants and yard trimmings. If we all did our part to compost instead of throwing these materials in the trash, a large portion of everyday waste could be recovered for reuse. And that’s good for all of us! This treasured family event takes place on the Snyder family ranch and brings the world of rocks, gems, minerals and fossils to children, to foster the next generation of rock hounds. Every Pow Wow has been a unique gathering of the friends of founders and hosts, John and Betty Snyder at their working cattle ranch, and hard working volunteers from the supportive Valley Springs community.
