Valley Springs Vehicle Pursuit Ends in the Arrests of Six Adults

(Valley Springs, CA) On 04/11/12 at approx. 10:15 A.M. Calaveras Sheriff's Deputies attempted a vehicle enforcement stop on a pick-up truck for expired registration near California and Daphne Streets in Valley Springs. The truck failed to yield and increased its speed, headed towards Watertown Road, then on towards the town of Paloma. While being pursued through Paloma, one of the truck's passengers, Jeremy Davis (34) of Tracy, jumped from the moving vehicle. The pursuit then continued back towards Valley Springs where the truck finally came to a stop due to mechanical failure...

Valley Springs Woman Arrested for Residential Burglary

Valley Springs, CA...On 04/07/12 Calaveras Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a burglary in progress in the 8300 block of McAtee Street in Valley Springs. At the time of the burglary, the reporting party/victim was at home and was giving live updates to Calaveras Dispatch while he awaited the arrival of the deputy. The victim reported that a suspicious vehicle was parked in his driveway, and he could see a female adult on his porch, and heard her going in and out of his basement. Every time she went to the porch she carried an item belonging to the victim and placed the item on the porch.

As I mentioned in my last post, summer time will be here before we know it and you'll most likely be spending more time outdoors. Maybe you play a lot of sports during the summer, or perhaps you try to spend as much of your free time at a lake, river or the beach. Valley Springs, CA...Crews are responding to a sedan vs box truck head on collison on Hwy 26 and Hogan Dam Road. More to follow...Update as of 8:02am...Traffic Stopped in both directions. May be moving traffic in one lane soon. Extracting one trapped party.... Update...luckily this ended up only being a minor injury accident. Lets be careful out there... Update as of 1:18pm...the injuries were worse than originally indicated...we are posting CHP release is separate story

Major Injuries in This Mornings Hwy 26 Accident

Valley Springs, CA...This morning at 7:40am a 52 year old San Andreas woman was driving her 2011 Ford Fiesta eastbound on hwy 26 west of Hogan Dam Road at approximately 40 mph. in light rain conditions. Due to her state of fatigue she allowed her car to cross over the double yellow line and directly into the path of a 2003 Freightliner...
