It has been 6 1/2 years since Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans, killing over 1500 people. Hardest hit was the city's Lower 9th Ward, with over 4000 homes destroyed by the storm and flood water. Two years later, little had been done to help this portion of New Orleans rebuild. After touring this part of the city and speaking with local families, actor Brad Pitt founded the Make It Right Foundation and vowed to build 150 green, affordable, high quality homes. Building ....

Jackson Couple Arrested for Robbery, Criminal Threats, and Assault with a Deadly Weapon

Valley Springs, CA... On 02/16/12 at approx. 7:50 PM, Calaveras County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 8503 Hautly Lane for a report of a physical altercation. Upon arrival they spoke with Eleanor Solo who reported that she had been assaulted by her son, Travis Solo (26) of Jackson, and Travis’ girlfriend Colleena Allee (37) of Jackson. According to Eleanor, she was inside her house when she heard someone at her front door. When she opened the door Colleena attacked her with a wood stick, striking her several times about her lower torso, causing bruises. She also struck Eleanor over the head with a metal deodorant can, causing injury to her head. The altercation resulted from an ongoing family dispute...

If you recognize the subjects in the attached photos, or have additional information to assist in this case, please call the Calaveras Sheriff's Investigations Division at 754-6500. Breaking News...Appelate Court Grants Stay in Trinitas Case

Burson, CA...The Trinitas Golf Course lives another round. We just heard that the Federal Appeals Court just granted the Nemees as stay, pending appeal in their Federal Bankruptcy Case. This should put off foreclosure proceedings until as least more legal maneuvers from the opposing side. The SAGA continues...More to follow...
