San Andreas, CA....CCWD will be holding a Special meeting on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at 9am. They will be awarding the construction contract for the Copperopolis Main Street Water Line: Approving Amendment to Upper Mokelumne River Watershed Authority; Approve Interim revised Water Supply Agreement with LaContenta investors for LaContenta Wastewater storage and disposal; There will also be a Public Hearing for adopting a FY 08/09 Budget; Discussion regarding the Integrated Water Management Plans for the Mokelumne/Amador/Calaveras and Stanislaus/Tuolumne Rivers; and a discussion regarding the request for inclusion of a Water Plan Element into the County General Plan. San Andreas, CA....CCWD is back in action on Wednesday morning at 9am for their regular Board Meeting. Copper Cove Wastewater Treatment Plant is on the agenda; CCWD will be submitting a pre-application for USDA funding for a water Distribution System for XX Subdivision in Copperopolis; They will also have a closed Session to discuss real property at 20 Sandy Gulch Road in Wilseyville. REMINDER....Meadowmont Area in Arnold to be Temporarily Without Water on June 4, 2008 |

Arnold, CA....CCWD plans to replace the Meadowmont Shopping Center PRV and Arnold Transmission Line on June 4th, 2008. This will cause temporary water shut offs in the area. The plan is to shut down the 10" transmission line that runs along the Meadowmont Golf Course on June 4, 2008 at 12 midnight. During the shut down, the AIMS PRV that feeds the shopping center will be replaced with a 6" Cla-Val PRV. As well they will install a 10" valve with a 2" bypass valve in the main transmission line. This valve will allow CCWD to feed the Shopping Center from the Meadowmont Tank side in case of an emergency break east of the PRV. See CCWD Press Release enclosed.....

Springtime results are in: Calaveras County Water District (CCWD) Ground Water Monitoring Program is in full swing in western Calaveras County. Since 2003, CCWD staff has made the trek to the New Hogan/Camanche/Valley Springs/Wallace/Burson area of the County to conduct semi-annual measuring of static water levels in wells owned by both private homeowners and the CCWD......

This year it will held on Saturday June 21st at LaContenta Golf Resort. Register now attend. There will be an 11am sign in, with a 1pm shot gun start. Water District Seeks Public Involvement in Regional Water Supply and Environmental Restoration Effort |

The Calaveras County Water District is seeking Federal support to undertake a regional water supply and environmental restoration effort in the Camanche-Valley Springs-New Hogan area of western Calaveras County. Critical to the success of this program is local support from communities and landowners to develop a raw water supply to meet its agricultural and irrigation water needs in an area experiencing groundwater overdraft. CCWD is actively encouraging all landowners and communities within the affected area to become involved in the reconnaissance and feasibility study.....

Some of the agenda items being discussed will be a Public Hearing with discussion regarding amending the Director compensation and travel policy; Discussion regarding the Draft Interim Water Supply agreement with LaContenta investors for LaContenta wastewater storage and disposal; Forest Meadows Wastewater facility; The County obtaining a White Pines Park Lease agreement from CCWD; Then at 10:30am they will hold a Budget Workshop.
