Narcotic Search Warrant Leads To Arrests In Sonora

Sonora, CA...Yesterday at about 2 P.M., the Tuolumne Narcotics Team along with assistance from TCSO Deputies and Detectives, served a search warrant at 304 Stockton Road in Sonora. Items related to the possession for sale and use of controlled substances were located. Sarah Hogan 24 year old woman, Shawn Dunn 22 year old man and James Owsley 34 year old man, were booked into the Tuolumne County Jail for possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, possession of controlled substances for sale and keep place to sell narcotic controlled substances. Owsley was also booked for possession of brass knuckles. They are each being held on a $20,000 bail.

Missing Modesto Man Last Seen At Chicken Ranch Casino

Sonora, CA...The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office is asking the community for assistance in locating 35 year old, Allen Christopher Martin. Allen walked away from the Chicken Ranch Casino on February 9th, 2016. Allen was last seen walking through the Chicken Ranch Casino parking lot toward Chicken Ranch Rd at around 2230 hours. Allen was wearing blue jeans, a long sleeve blue shirt and a gray jacket. Allen has not contacted his family since that evening and his whereabouts are unknown at this time.

Attempted Homicide Suspect Arrested In Twain Harte

Twain Harte, CA...This evening around 6:30 P.M. an anonymous tip from a citizen led the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Deputies to the Chapel in the Pines Church on Cherokee Drive in Twain Harte. The citizen reported seeing the subject Michael Pierce at the church, who is wanted by the Sonora Police Department on Attempted Homicide charges as reported earlier in the day. Sheriff's Deputies and K9 Hans responded to the church and took Pierce into custody without incident. Pierce was booked into the Tuolumne County Jail where he is being held on a $510,000 bail for the charges of Attempted Homicide and a felony warrant for Weapon and Drug Paraphernalia charges.

Medical Center Hosting Heart Fest 2016

Sonora, CA...In recognition of American Heart Month, Sonora Regional Medical Center is hosting its second annual Heart Fest, a heart health event for the community. Heart Fest will be held Tuesday, February 9, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds in Sonora. There will be live entertainment, educational booths, a lecture by cardiologists Atul Ramachandran, MD and Eric Hemminger, MD, a free heart-healthy dinner, and a giant walk-through Mega Heart exhibit. Attendees will be able to step inside the human heart and learn about cardiovascular functions, observe examples of various types of heart disease and see displays of some of the latest medical treatments of heart problems....

Wanted Suspect With Multiple Felony Charges Arrested In Groveland

Groveland, CA...After we posted that Joshua Power was WANTED in our community, the tips came pouring in. A surveillance team was put together and we arrested him today at about 12:45 P.M., in the Groveland/ Greeley Hill area. It was a partnership between the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office, US Marshals Service and the Pacific Southwest Apprehension Team. Joshua Powers was a passenger in a vehicle seen driving in the area and the Tuolumne County Sheriff‘s Deputies initiated a traffic stop. Power exited the vehicle and attempted to flee. Power pulled out a utility knife and K9 Cain from the Stockton Police Department, who was part of the Pacific Southwest Team, apprehended Power. Power was taken to the Sonora Regional Medical Center for custody clearance and booked at the Tuolumne County Jail with a no bail.
