Forest Meadows Food Drive on December 3rd |

| Murphys, CA...Forest Meadows will hold their second annual Food Drive to benefit the Resource Connection Food Bank. Grocery bags (donated by Save Mart) have been distributed by volunteers to each of the residences in Forest Meadows. Homeowners are asked to fill the bags with groceries and/or contribute a check to the Resource Connection. Volunteers will be at the exit gate on Monday, December 3 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. to collect the filled bags. |

Hundreds Turned Up To Trot in 6th Annual Klassen Klassic Turkey Trot |

Murphys, CA... A large crowd was on had bright and early Thanksgiving Morning for the 6th Annual Klassen Klassic Turkey Trot. What started as a small town morning jog on Thanksgiving morning, has turned into a Thanksgiving Tradition in Murphys. Brian Klassen, owner of Klassen Wines, started the run in 2006, "The group I run with decided we should start a Turkey Trot. The first year word spread and I couldn't believe about 40 people showed up," Brian's daughter, Sally, took the race to a new level when she made it her senior project in 2009. "That year we raised more money, got more publicity, more sponsorships and saw a lot more people show up," Klassen added....

This annual event brings the holiday season into full swing with a variety of Christmas songs. Sounds of the Season is an event for the whole family. 20 Year Old Murphys Woman Jessica Fabbro Loses Life in Avery Accident (Updated CHP Release Attached) |

Arnold, CA...(Updated CHP Release Attached and CHP is asking that anyone with additional information on this accident call 209.754.3541) Yesterday at about 1:25pm a 20 year old Jessica Fabbro from Murphys was driving her Honda Civic on Hwy 4 eastbound west of Red Tail Hawk Drive at an unknown speed. A Los Gatos woman was driving her Honda Pilot westbound at approximately 45 miles per hour. For an unknown reason, the Murphys woman turned her Honda northbound directly into the path of the Pilot causing the front of the Pilot to collide with the left side of the Civic causing fatal injuries...
