Bear Valley, CA... Tonight Snow showers. Low around 17. Southwest wind 7 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible. Tuesday Snow showers, mainly before 4pm. Temperature rising to near 19 by noon, then falling to around 14 during the remainder of the day. Calm wind becoming west northwest 5 to 7 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible. Tuesday Night A 20 percent chance of snow showers before 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 6. East northeast wind around 10 mph....

Murphys, CA....John Laughton Dawson died December 14, 2012, in Murphys after a three year battle with illness. He was 72 and died peacefully at home with his wife of 52 years Eileen by his side. John was born March 10, 1940, in Liverpool, England, to Thomas Jack and Ivy May Dawson....
