Calaveras, CA...My daughter recently entered a contest at her school called "Dinner With a Scientist". It's an annual event the district puts on for the 6th graders. To enter, she had to come up with a new invention. Her invention was a robot designed to help the elderly in their daily lives. Or as she put it, "A robot for old people"...don't worry, I helped her put a more PC title on her invention. She won a spot at the event and had a great time learning and meeting many different scientific professionals...

Murphys, CA...Yesterday at 8:45am a 53 year old Murphys woman was traveling EIB SR-4, east of Mitchler Avr: (Murphys), and 79 year old Arnold woman was traveling WIB on SR-4. As the Parties approached cach other, Party -l (fatigued) allowçcl hcr vehicle to cross over the double scrlid yellow lines and collide head on with Party 2. Both Parties went' to Mark Twain Hospital for treatment. Additional information is enclosed...

The picturesque setting of Alpine County, California is the location of the exciting 21st annual Bear Valley Triathlon.
