Murphys, Ca...“The Autism Chronicles,” endeavors to provide insight into what dealing with autism is like and what a group of dedicated people at the Mind Matters Clinic in Murphys is doing to ease the burdens. Written by Mark Wilson, directed by Terri Wilson, the hour-long play uses the actual words of the people portrayed to tell its stories. It has poignancy laced with humor. Murphys, CA...Drawn by the emerald hills and burgeoning foliage of springtime in the Motherlode, bicyclists from throughout Northern California and Nevada are signing up to take part in the sixth annual Mr. Frog’s Wild Ride on Saturday, April 20. The ride begins at Feeney Park in the historic gold rush town of Murphys. Two scenic routes, 50K and 100K, will take riders through the area’s verdant countryside at the height of the wildflower season. The longer ride will also include the beauty of New Melones Lake. Murphys - Vallecito, CA...There are still tickets available for the Annual Spring Bonfire in the beautiful Renner Vineyard in Vallecito. The fun starts at 6:00 with a Bar-b-que and the fire and Hot Dark, the hot local band will start to play as the fire grows hotter and larger. Shuttle Service will be available from the Murphys Hotel in Murphys starting at 5:30. The Renner Vineyard has spectacular views and the Rock Cave where the Bonfire will be held is spectacular...

Murphys, CA...It is with great sorrow that I must tell you that our son, Zachary Solomon Orman died Sunday after a paragliding accident near Tucson. We are still in shock and feel like we are in a bad dream.. He was in his third year of Medical School at the U of A. He was an excellent student achieving honors in almost all his rotations and achieving AOA honors and an award for Humanism. He was on his way to becoming an Emergency Physician. He enjoyed Rock Climbing, mountain biking and paragliding. He was 28...
