Power Outage Updates. Arnold Restoral Time Between 10:30pm and Midnight |

Arnold, CA...We just spoke with a PG&E representative and they are making progress on outages. System wide they had over 100,000 customers without power a couple of hours ago. Now the numbers have dropped down to around 70,000. There are 4 individual outages affecting 4,100 customers in the Arnold area. The estimated restoral time is late this evening between 10:30pm and Midnight. Down the hill...

Murphys, CA....In 2010 the Ebbetts Pass Veteran’s Memorial District commissioned a beautiful veteran’s memorial in Murphys Park on land owned by Calaveras County. Since then it has been enjoyed by many but was lacking an important element that many veterans need. It did not have good access for any one with a physical handicap......

Murphys, CA....March 19, 2011 - Murphys will be celebrating it's Irish Heritage on the 3rd Saturday in March again this year. The streets will close at 6 am and by 10 am Main Street will be filled with vendor booths offering an array of handcrafted and Irish themed items as well as lots of food and entertainers warming up their voices and instruments. By 11 am we'll be lined up to watch the parade so make sure to get here early to claim your spot. This year's parade will include all of the usual community groups, kids, horses, dogs and entertainment galore including the Irish Cultural Society, the White Hackle Pipe Band, a Calliope and our friend, Rusty O'Flattery - The Worlds' Tallest Leprechaun. ......

Will The Clouds Part for Irish Day? Luck O' The Irish They Will!! |

Murphys, CA...Precipitation rolls back into the region tonight. Don't worry though the clouds usually part long enough to allow Irish Day to proceed without a hitch. Here is what the NWS says is on tap for our area. Tonight: Increasing clouds, with a low around 36. Southwest wind at 7 mph becoming northeast. Friday: A chance of showers, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 11am. High near 52. East wind 7 to 10 mph becoming south between 15 and 18 mph. Winds could gust as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%....
