Murphys, CA....A wonderful Pops Concert at Ironstone featuring the Alhambra Pipe Organ and a luncheon buffet. The event will begin at 12:30pm with a specially prepared luncheon buffet in the Alhambra Music Room. The full two-hour concert (with intermission) will follow at 2:00pm. The concert will feature a wide variety of popular music, including ~Ballads ~ Show Tunes ~ and Light Classics. Chis Gorsuch from San Diego will be our special guest artist.......

Murphys, CA....Mr Frog's Wild Ride Needs Volunteers - We need your help on Saturday April 16 for 2-3 hour shifts doing a variety of volunteer work at the park and on the course. To make it clearer and easier we now have a form which allows you to pick a shift or shifts and asks you to provide your contact information. Just click on the link, fill in your information and check the appropriate boxes, click Submit, and you're done! This year every volunteer will be given a ticket to the post-ride BBQ dinner. Come by the park after your shift, listen to the music, have a glass of wine or a beer, mingle .....

Murphys, CA....Melanie philosophy on food.... “Local,” “organic,” and “sustainable” may be buzz words to some, but they’ve always been a part of Melanie Klann’s vocabulary. Melanie brings a raw and luscious earthiness into her kitchen while imbuing her creations with her love of eastern cultures and her southern heritage. 'I have always believed in “ground to table” cooking. And although I don’t hunt for game, I do forage for mushrooms, pick fresh herbs, and find local sources for all of my meats, fruits and vegetables' For instance, Melanie recently traveled 60 miles to an ollalieberry farm and met with the farmer and her family. She was stewing up some of this unusual fruit, (a cross between a loganberry and a youngberry) for a sorbet she was making for Newsome-Harlow's Zintastico!, a Zinfandel wine pairing event held annually at their Tasting Lounge in downtown Murphys......
