Built in 1851, the 167-year-old landmark Avery Hotel has been restored to its original splendor and has added a beautiful new stage, nestled among the trees and perfect for concerts and dancing under the stars. Inaugurating the new stage are the popular Johnny Cash / Patsy Cline tribute band, The Rhythm Riders. Fronted by award-winning vocalists Johnny and Dee Price, The Rhythm Riders will perform Johnny Cash’s favorite train songs, including Wabash Cannonball, Hey Porter, and Wreck of the Old 97.

Avery, CA...A collision on Avery Sheep Ranch Leads To DUI Arrest. An 50 year old Avery woman was driving on Avery Sheep Ranch Road late Monday evening west of Skull Ranch at approximately 35 mph when she lost control of her 1995 Ford sedan. Her vehicle entered onto the south shoulder and impacted a tree.

The students collect these to donate to the Calaveras Resource Connection as they prepare food bags for the needy in our area. Avery, CA...On October 22, at 6:00 pm spirits are sure to be in residence at the Historic Avery Hotel while Johnny and Dee Price channel the energy of the iconic Country Western legends, Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline. This will be a first-rate performance not to be missed. The opening act is “Big Iron”, setting the pace for the tribute performance. Purchase tickets here at $25 or at the door (cash and checks only). Yummy finger foods will be served, and it’s ok to bring your own picnic and beverage. Bring a blanket and low-back chairs. Weather permitting, the performance will be in the backyard area under the stars. If it rains, we take the party inside.
