Judiciary Committee Democrats to Trump: Withdraw Kavanaugh Nomination, Order FBI Investigation

Posted by: thepinetree on 09/26/2018 12:30 PM
Washington, DC...Following the release of a sworn affidavit from Julie Swetnick detailing new allegations of sexual assault by Brett Kavanaugh, all 10 Democratic members of the Senate Judiciary Committee today urged President Trump to immediately withdraw the nomination or order an FBI investigation into all allegations. The senators wrote: “We are writing to request that you immediately withdraw the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to be an Associate Justice on the Supreme Court or direct the FBI to re-open its background investigation and thoroughly examine the multiple allegations of sexual assault.

The McClintock Campaign asks Who Is The Real Jessica Morse?

Posted by: thepinetree on 09/25/2018 04:26 PM
Mariposa, CA...We published the post debate release from the Morse campaign and here is the post debate piece from the McClintock campaign. Sunday’s debate between Congressman McClintock and Jessica Morse highlighted a clear choice for voters in District 4, a choice that is as clear as it gets.  While Rep. McClintock highlighted a vision of economic growth, national security, and local control of our lands, Morse stuck to her script of lying about McClintock’s record (and her own) and trotted out the leftist playbook of more government, higher taxes, heavier regulations, more bureaucracy, and fewer choices.

Jessica Morse was Clear Winner in CA-04 Debate According to Her Campaign

Posted by: thepinetree on 09/24/2018 07:39 AM
Mariposa, CA...Released yesterday by the Morse Campaign..."This afternoon, challenger and first-time candidate Jessica Morse and Congressman Tom McClintock faced off in their first debate for the 4th Congressional District seat. In the debate, Morse stressed her local roots as a fifth-generation Northern Californian and her commitment to fighting for the issues important to the community that raised her. As expected, career politician McClintock struggled to explain his vote to eliminate coverage for people with pre-existing conditions – a position that would negatively affect nearly 300,000 of his constituents. Further, McClintock couldn't defend his vote against a budget bill that would’ve provided the district with funding to prevent forest fires.

Posted by: thepinetree on 09/24/2018 11:02 PM
New York, NY...Thank you all for being here this morning. It is a great honor to address you on an issue that affects every nation across the globe: the world drug problem. And a big problem it is. The scourge of drug addiction continues to claim too many lives in the United States and in nations around the world. Today, we commit to fighting the drug epidemic together. I want to express my deep gratitude to Ambassador Haley for her outstanding leadership in counter-narcotics at the United Nations, along with the dedicated work of our great Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, who’s done an absolutely fantastic job, and Ambassador John Bolton. Thank you very much.

New York, NY...11:09 A.M. EDT, SECRETARY POMPEO: Good morning, everyone. It’s an honor to be here in New York for the 73rd United Nations General Assembly, my first as Secretary of State. Kind of the Super Bowl of diplomacy. Americans can be proud of how our entire team is executing on the field today. I’m thrilled to be here with my friends Nikki and John, as well. Americans expect the United States to assert bold leadership on the world stage that reflects our values. And under President Trump, we are certainly leading from the front.

Sacramento, CA...Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. today signed legislation to strengthen California’s ability to prevent and recover from catastrophic wildfires, including Senate Bill 901 – authored by Senator Bill Dodd (D-Napa) – which boosts the state’s forest management activities, updates requirements for the maintenance and operation of utility infrastructure to reflect changing climate conditions, and protects ratepayers and utility workers. “Wildfires in California aren’t going away, and we have to do everything possible to prevent them. This bill is complex and requires investment – but it’s absolutely necessary,” said Governor Brown.
