Big day in the pool for BH with both the boys and girls winning at the Motherlode League Meet. The girls 200 and 400 free relay teams, boys JV 200 medley relay team! Section Qualifiers: Erika Rasmussen, Kayley Rasmussen, Haley Warner & Shelby Warner in both the 200 and 400 Freesytle Relay. Nathaniel Johnson in the Breastroke. Mack McManus, Nathaniel Johnson, Colin Boblet & Ryan Soulier in the 200 Medley Relay. Camden Irish, Jacob Cardiel, Colin Boblet & Joey Calhoun in the 400 Freestyle Relay

Destination Angels Camp Begins Work on Angels Camp Economic Development

Angels Camp, CA...At its first board of directors meeting, Destination Angels Camp Development Corporation, the newly formed all-volunteer economic development organization, elected its officers and set out its operating plans for the coming year. The new officers are Bob Trinchero, chairman, Tonja Peterson, vice chairman, Anne Forrest, president/CEO, Dixon Collins, treasurer, and Wrenae Rowe, secretary. These five along with three representatives from the City – Council Member Roger Neuman, City Administrator Michael McHatten, and Planning Director David Hanham – will make up the executive committee....

Angels Camp, CA...The Junior Miss Calaveras Pageant and Junior Frog Jump will be held concurrently on Saturday, May 12 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Altaville Melones Fire Department in Angels Camp. Fourteen Applicants to Vie for Jr. Miss Calaveras County: The Junior Miss Calaveras competition is open to 8th grade girls in Calaveras county. The contestants are judged on beauty, personality, pleasantness and ticket sales by a panel of judges. The winner will be announced during the Junior Frog jump and she will be presented at the Calaveras County Fair during the Miss Calaveras announcements the next week....

Angels Camp, CA...As we post this the Zielke family is no doubt on their way back from taping Mark Twain Elementary Eighth Grader Michael Zielke's appearance on the revived 1990 game show “Figure It Out” Nickelodeon has ordered 40 new episodes to bring the show back after a decade long hiatus. Below is video from Michaels audition tape.
