Angels Camp, CA...Joanne Marie Whittle died of natural causes on Sunday, Januarry 27, 2008, at her home in Angels Camp. She was 73. A native of Angels Camp, Mrs. Whittle was born November 3rd, 1934. She attended Altaville Grammar School and graduated from Bret Harte High School in 1952. She went on to graduate from Heald Business College....

Angels Camp, CA...The Christian Family Learning Center is on a one hour snow delay this morning as well. School will start one hour later than normal...

Angels Camp, CA...One of the West Coast’s most exciting and dynamic flamenco dance companies will present their staccato footwork and colorful costumes on Sunday afternoon, February 17 in Angels Camp. Don’t miss the electrifying dancers of San Francisco’s “Theatre Flamenco”, accompanied by a brilliant line-up of musicians and singers when the curtain rises at 3:00 pm in the Bret Harte Theatre, 323 Highway 49. The performance is part of the Calaveras Arts Council’s “Ovations” Performing Arts Series which has already thrilled local audiences with two prior concerts in January....

Angels Camp, CA...We just received a call from The Christian Family Learning Center's Larry Smith and they will be running on a one hour delay as well today.

Copperopolis, CA...CHP is reporting an accident on Hwy 4 near Hunt Road. Initial reports indicate a solo overturned vehicle with the subject trapped inside, but thank goodness there were no injuries. According to CHP, the vehicle was headed to Angels Camp from Copperopolis and was speeding around the curve which caused the vehicle to roll over.

Angels Camp, CA...To Celebrate the Birth of the Boy Scouts of America, the Scout Hut in Angels Camp will have an Open House on February 3rd from 12 noon~2pm which is "Scout Sunday." Greetings from San Diego...Looking down upon the faded green tops of the swaying palm trees set against the deep blue ocean, the sunlight dancing on the crest of the rolling waves my plane rapidly descending over the fleet of gigantic white cruise ships with their colorful flags flying in the midmorning breeze, as some were embarking on their ventures at sea being escorted by tug boats, my excitement increasing as each object became larger and larger until I finally felt the wheels hit the runway....
