The 2012 Angels Camp Frog Jump Parade Over 300 Photos and Complete Parade Video

Angels Camp, CA...The 2012 Fair is Officially Underway. The Soroptomists Childrens Parade is traditional start to the Frog Jump Season. It was a great Parade this morning that honored the Girls Scouts and their contributions over the last 100 years. There were floats, beauty queens, saddle queens, dancers, politicians, old cars, kids, kids and more kids. These are the raw photos and video will be up soon. We will be cropping and tuning for the final slide show but we thought might like a glimpse at this morning's festivities. Lets all head out to the fair and make this year the best yet!!

Bret Harte Athletic Physicals Thursday, May 24th

Bret Harte athletic physicals will be held on Thursday, May 24th in the Bret Harte lower gym. The boys physicals begin at 3:30 and the girls begin at 4:30 (girls wear swimsuits). The cost is $25.00. All students planning to participate in athletics during the 2012-2013 school year should plan to attend. No physicals will be offered in August. Athletic Clearance Forms are available at the Bret Harte High School web page or in the high school office. Athletes should bring completed Athletic Clearance Forms on May 24th to be turned in at the completion of the physical. Please contact Mrs. Brooksher at 736-8348 for more information.
New Melones Fishing Report for May 14th~by Glory Hole Sports

Water Conditions: New Melones Lake is currently holding 1,906,220 acre-feet of water. The lake level is dropped 3 feet this week and is currently at 1044 ft. above sea level and 44 ft. from full. Water temperature is in the low 60s and rising. Lake is slightly stained, with mud lines forming around the shore on windy days....
Winner of the Glory Hole Sports Big Fish of the Week Contest goes to Richard Kowski of Angels Camp. He caught a 3-pound 9-ounce rainbow while trolling a crawler on the main lake.
Kaylee Huey of Angels Camp, was honored by Woodbury University of Burbank, California upon completion of her second year of study majoring in Graphic Design. Kaylee recieved recognition as the Outstanding Second Year Design Student and was recognized as an Emerging Leader for the student body. Five pieces of Kaylee's work were featured in the annual year end Gallery showing of the top design studio work for the year. One of her .....

Murphys, CA...We thought we should pass along some very sad news. Local mom and longtime fighter against cancer as passed away. We will pass along the obituary and service details as soon as they come in. From all of us at ThePineTree.net our thoughts and prayers are with her friends and family....

Angels Camp, CA...We had the good fortune to spend a few minutes speaking with District Four Supervisor Tom Tryon. Supervisor Tryon is one of the longest serving Supervisors in the State of California. He is running for another term in what he has stated is his Last Campaign. There is unfinished business that he would like to see through until completion. He sees this as vital to our area. This is one of the longest of our candidate interviews.
