Sold Out Field for 2012 Mr. Frog's Wild Ride

Murphys, CA...The 2012 Mr. Frog's Wild Ride was a sold out success. Last Saturday 318 riders covered the two separate courses. The Mr. Frogs event continues to grow every year and is becoming on of the prime fundraisers for the Volunteer run Feeney Park. Many people may not know that many of our parks in this area are almost completely community funded and run. The dedicated group that runs Feeney Park have done an incredible job over the years providing a great resource for our local kids and families. Feeney is the home of many of our local Soccer, Little League Teams and more...

Copperopolis, CA...On Monday night Candidates Season kicked into high gear as the Calaveras County Taxpayers Association held their first Candidates Night. We will be posting video clips of portions of the night. The first one below if from the assembled candidates for the State Assembly Race. The clip below runs about 24 minutes and covers several questions and their closing statements. Separately we will post clips from the District Attorney Race and also the Supervisor Contests

Angels Camp, CA...Hike this: Poppy paradise. Angels Creek Trail at New Melones Reservoir. California Poppies are in full effect right now and one of the best ways to take them all in is by hiking and mountain biking the trails at New Melones Reservoir. One of the locals’ favorite trails for viewing poppies is the 4-mile Angels Creek loop (pictured above). This moderate, single track rolling trail with stunning views of New Melones at every bend follows its way along the side of a hillside. In Spring (right now!) the poppies are endless and the temperatures are perfect....
