The Calaveras Children's Repertory Theatre (CCRT), is pleased to announce record breaking performances of Aladdin Jr. at the Bret Harte Theatre. The 54 children put on an outstanding set of performances that earned standing ovations and glowing critiques. The Board of Directors believe that records were set with the number of businesses and individuals that donated to CCRT for this production with over 60, and in the amount of money raised by ticket sales, auctions and raffle tickets. Closed Session at 4:30pm with Regular Meeting beginning at 6pm. One of the top agenda items, is the City Council will reconsider the Planning Commission Appointment of George Fry. Angels Camp, CA...Downtown Angels Camp is at it's historic best as the banners and the traditional Old Miners Laundry have been hung across main street. All of the local prospectors and prospectettes are getting ready for the Calaveras County Fair and Frog Jump Jubilee that hops into town next week. Last week we were speaking with Fair Director Ray Malerbi and he said Calaveras County is the last county in the state to close the schools for the county fair. You really should make plans to make a trip to Calaveras County and take in a slice of Americana that is truly special....
