Robert “Bob” Sundling age 67 passed away May 4, 2011 at his residence in Angels Camp, CA. Born January 15, 1944 in Turlock, CA, he was a resident of Angels Camp for 33 yrs. Bob worked as a mechanic for P G & E for 25 yrs. He loved spending time with his Grandchildren. He is survived by his wife Gwen Sundling of Angels Camp, Sons David Sundling of Arizona and Billy Sundling of Tuolumne City, CA., Brother Jerry (Betty) Sundling of Oakdale, ......

New Melones, CA....Water Conditions: New Melones Lake is currently holding 2,018,765 acre-feet of water. The lake level rose almost feet this week and is currently at 1054 ft. above sea level and 34 ft. from full capacity. Water temperature is 63-65 degrees. Water is fairly clear, with some staining in areas. Watch for floating debris, unmarked island tops, and rattlesnakes that have been flooded from their holes- we have had reports of waterlogged snakes climbing into boats. .

San Andreas, CA...The Great Redistricting Debate of 2011 starts with a redistricting study session tomorrow afternoon at 1:30pm in the Board Chambers. This will have big impacts on upcoming Supervisor Elections. If District 3 has lost population should it be enlarged to include Murphys? Should District 4 be adjusted to include Copperopolis? This would make this district easier to represent as then it would align with the school districts and be cleaner geographically. Should Supervisor Tofanelli's District be adjusted?

Angels Camp, CA...The Miner's Picnic was a great success this year. The Angels Camp Museum hosted a special Gold Rush Day and Miner’s Heritage event today. This annual, well attended event celebrates the gold rush history of the region. Programs included 1840s gold rush era living historians doing demonstrations and talks on early miners and gold panning, a Civil War soldier program that includes musket firing demonstrations, and other regular .....

Murphys, CA...A weather system is starting to roll through. Snow is possible above 5,000 feet and rain and cooler temps are on the way. Today: Mostly sunny, with a high near 71. Calm wind becoming west southwest between 7 and 10 mph. Tonight: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 43. West southwest wind between 8 and 11 mph becoming calm...
