Calaveras County, CA....Scott's Yogurt Factory Owner, Greg Scott announced today "We are getting close, 200 birds to go. The Resource Connection will be set up at Savemart on Saturday from 10 am -3pm and should be able to get the rest of the needed birds. They are asking for anyone that wants to help by handing out flyers at the doors that day. This was a huge impact last time and by educating the shoppers we were able to get 301 in about 5 hours. ....

Angels Theater Angels Camp, CA......The Christmas movie releases are out, so this reporter packed up the family and made our way downtown to the Angels Theater to check out "Chronicles of Narnia -The Voyage of the Dawn Treader". We're a homeschool family so our rule is always read the book first. With the classic Narnia tales by CS Lewis, we never have had a problem, as children have been enjoying these stories for generations. The same can be said of these films; when the kids found out what we were going to see we got a great cheer.....

Bret Harte Theater, Angels Camp CA...Christian Family Learning Center (CFLC), affiliated with the Foothill Community Church on Whittle Road here in Angels Camp, put on their 20th annual Christmas Pageant tonight to kick off the performance run for 2010. Not only did 110 children do an incredible amount of work to prepare for a show over six months in the making, but the entire budget for this production is a result of the fundraising work by the children themselves. Larry Smith, principal of CFLC put it this way....

Angels Camp, CA..It seems Santa Claus is continuing to spend time catching up with all the girls and boys of Calaveras County as Christmas day approaches. Tonight Santa made a stop at the US Bank branch on Main St. in Angels Camp as the Angels Centennial Rotary Club hosted it's annual event for local families. Local children from throughout our community were joined by families of the staff of US Bank and the families of members of Angels Camp Centennial Rotary to meet Santa, enjoy pizza and music, and start off the holiday right here in Angels Camp....
