| Arnold, CA... The Independence Hall Quilters of Arnold will host two workshops featuring guest artists in the near future. On April 29, Sandra Mollon will teach a class on Embellished appliqué and embroidery. On May 6, Elenor Peace Bailey will teach a class on dolls. The members continue to prepare for their annual Quilt Faire which will be held this year October 11, 12, and 13 at Ironstone Vineyards, Murphys, California. San Andreas, CA... The 6th annual Kid’s Day in the Garden is planned for Saturday, June 8th from 10 to 12 noon at the Demonstration Garden at the Government Center in San Andreas.
This family event is sponsored by First 5 Calaveras, Prevent Child Abuse Council, the University of California and Calaveras Master Gardeners to highlight the beauty and wonder of nature as seen through the eyes of a child...

| Murphys, CA... Chispa Parlor #139 of the Native Sons of the Golden West will serve an All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast at the Native Sons Hall at 389 Main Street, Murphys, from 7:30 to 11:30 am. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, orange juice, coffee and hot chocolate will be served for $6 for adults and $3 for children 10 and younger.
