Yosemite, CA...The Big Meadow Fire was a 90 acre prescribed fire that crossed containment lines and is now aggressively being suppressed. A Type 1 Incident Management Team (McGowen) has been assigned to manage this fire.....

Sheep Ranch, CA...Units form multiple agencies and all aircraft out of Columbia are responding to a 1/4 acre grass fire about 2 miles up from the Rite of Passage School. More to follow... (Update as of 10:06am... they are canceling the remaining inbound units as the units on hand will be able to take care of the fire.) |

1/4 Acre of Grass Burn Due to Sparks From a Grinder Being Used |

Tulumne County, CA....A 1/4 acre of grass vegetation was burned when sparks from a Grinder being used on the bed of a pickup truck was being used. The pickup was parked about 28 feet away from vegetation. The incident occurred on Saturday August 22nd at 20604 N. Sunshine Road in Soulsbyville. There were no injuries. Units responding were:

Last Eve's Structure Fire in Glencoe Under Investigtation |

Glencoe, CA....CAL Fire states that a fire that occurred on August 19th at 1121 Royal Lane in Glencoe is under investigation. An outbuilding was destroyed and about 1/8 acre of vegetation was burned.. There were no injuries. Units, personnel responding (departments & equipment, i.e. breathing units, air tankers, etc.) were STANDARD: BATTALION CHIEF 4420; ESPERANZA: ENGINE 4483; WEST POINT: UTILITY 4453; CENTRAL FIRE: ENGINE 122, 124 and WATER TENDER 121. Glenocoe, CA...CAL Fire states use of a lawn mower was the cause of a small spot fire in the 17000 block of Hwy 26 in Glencoe on Monday. There were no injuries and no dollar damages reported. WEST POINT: BATTALION CHIEF 4413, ENGINE 4453 responded to this fire. CAL Fire report enclosed....

Trout: bank fishing at Melones is done for the season, and won't pick up again until the end of November. Night fishing for trout under a submersible light has been great. Sink your light 20 feet deep and fish 30-50 feet deep with a crawler or crawler/Power Bait combo....
