Vehicle Accident Cause of Vehicle Fire in Glencoe on Friday

Glencoe, CA....Cal Fire states a vehicle accident was the cause of a vehicle fire that occurred on July 17th at 870 Ridge Road in Glencoe. A 1999 Jeep Cherokee was involved in a vehicle accident, the vehicle caught fire and spread into brush vegetation burning an 1/8 of an acre. Estimated dollar damage is not available at this time. No injuries were reported. CAL Fire report enclosed.....

FIRE NEWS.....Crews Responding to a Vegetation Fire East of Lovers Leap in Knights Ferry Area

Knights Ferry, CA...Crews from Multiple agencies are responding to a vegetation fire 2 miles east of Lovers Leap in the Knights Ferry Area. More to follow is necessary. UPDATE #1 9:15pm, Reports are coming in that there are power lines down in the area. No acreage estimate as of yet. More to follow as needed. UPDATE #2, 9:40pm, Fire contained at approximately 5 acres according to Jim at CAL Fire Command Center. Great job crews! CAL Fire report to follow as soon as we receive.

Cause of Three Small Spot Grass Fires in Jenny Lind Under Investigation

Jenny Lind, CA....CAL Fire states the three spot grass fires that took place on July 11th are under investigation. They occurred at 4000 Silver Rapids Road and 2802 Hogan Dam Road and 5816 Baldwin Street in Calaveras County. Multiple units were called to these fires.No injuries involved. Vehicle Fire Estimated $15,000 In Damages

Copperoplis, CA....A small spot of grass caught fire after a vehicle experiencing electrical problems became fully engulfed in flames on Friday July 10th at 1665 S. Horseshoe Drive in Copperopolis. An estimated $15,000 in damages occurred. No injuries. CAL Fire report enclosed....

Jamestown, CA....CAL Fire states a bird flew into a power line and caused a small 1/2 acre of grass vegetation fire at 19650 Jamestown Road in Jamestown this morning. $100 of damages were reported along with no injuries. CAL Fire report enclosed....

Tuolumne County, CA....CAL Fire states a discarded cigarette was the cause of a small grass fire that occurred at 19832 Sommette Drive in Mono Village this afternoon. Standard Battalion Chief 4415, Engine 4455 and Mono Village Engine 5112 responded. No Injuries reported. Full CAL Fire report enclosed.....

Tuolumne County, CA....A 1 1/2 Acre grass fire occurred on July 5th, 2009 at Hwy 108 near Montezuma Junction in Tuolumne County. Cause was a trailer lost a tire and sent sparks into dry vegetation. Estimated dollar damage is $300. There were no injuries reported. Columbia Air Attack, Copter 404, Two Tankers, Standard Batallion Chief and two Standard engines, Green Springs Battalion Chief and one engine, Twain Harte engine, Sierra Training engine and baseline hand crew responded to this fire. Crews Make Quick Work of Another Vegetation Fire.

Jamestown, CA...Crews are starting to be released after they have made quick work of another fire. A one acre vegetation fire at Hwy 108 and Hwy 49 was recently called contained. It has been a very busy weekend for all of our local agencies. There have been numerous small fires and they have managed to keep all of them from turning into major incidents...

FIRE NEWS....Crews Responding to a Fire at La Grange Road

Emergency crews are responding to a fire at La Grange Road just north of Bonds Flat Road. Updates to come if needed. UPDATE 12:09am, John just spoke with Captain Stewart of CAL Fire, this was fire was small and contained quickly. He also mentioned that they have had multiple incidents of illegal fireworks this evening. It has been a busy night so far, luckily none of the fires have been of significant size. Lisa Williams will be preparing a summary of the weekend's incidents.
