Bird Flew Into Power Line Cause of Small Grass Fire This Morning |

Jamestown, CA....CAL Fire states a bird flew into a power line and caused a small 1/2 acre of grass vegetation fire at 19650 Jamestown Road in Jamestown this morning. $100 of damages were reported along with no injuries. CAL Fire report enclosed....

Tuolumne County, CA....CAL Fire states a discarded cigarette was the cause of a small grass fire that occurred at 19832 Sommette Drive in Mono Village this afternoon. Standard Battalion Chief 4415, Engine 4455 and Mono Village Engine 5112 responded. No Injuries reported. Full CAL Fire report enclosed.....

CAL Fire States Trailer Lost Tire Which Sent Sparts into Dry Grass Cause of Small Vegetation Fire on July 5th |

Tuolumne County, CA....A 1 1/2 Acre grass fire occurred on July 5th, 2009 at Hwy 108 near Montezuma Junction in Tuolumne County. Cause was a trailer lost a tire and sent sparks into dry vegetation. Estimated dollar damage is $300. There were no injuries reported. Columbia Air Attack, Copter 404, Two Tankers, Standard Batallion Chief and two Standard engines, Green Springs Battalion Chief and one engine, Twain Harte engine, Sierra Training engine and baseline hand crew responded to this fire. Crews Make Quick Work of Another Vegetation Fire. |

Jamestown, CA...Crews are starting to be released after they have made quick work of another fire. A one acre vegetation fire at Hwy 108 and Hwy 49 was recently called contained. It has been a very busy weekend for all of our local agencies. There have been numerous small fires and they have managed to keep all of them from turning into major incidents... |

FIRE NEWS....Crews Responding to a Fire at La Grange Road |

Emergency crews are responding to a fire at La Grange Road just north of Bonds Flat Road. Updates to come if needed. UPDATE 12:09am, John just spoke with Captain Stewart of CAL Fire, this was fire was small and contained quickly. He also mentioned that they have had multiple incidents of illegal fireworks this evening. It has been a busy night so far, luckily none of the fires have been of significant size. Lisa Williams will be preparing a summary of the weekend's incidents. |

CAL Fire States Electrical Was the Cause of Structure Fire in Sonora on Thursday Evening |

Sonora, CA...A residence burned at 14800 Algerine Wards Ferry Road in Sonora on Thursday evening. It was a total loss. CAl Fire is stating the cause was electrical. There were no injuries. However, two adults and two children were displaced. Estimated damages is $75,000 to structure and $40,000 to contents. CAL Fire report is enclosed.....

CAL Fire Responds To Three Small Fires in Calaveras County |

Calaveras County, CA......CAL Fire states electrical wires touching was the cause of a small vegetation fire that occurred on Appaloosa Road in Angels Camp on Monday. No injuries reported. Another fire was reported on June 28th in Jenny Lind on Westhill Road, which was caused by a child playing with matches. This fire caused a 1/2 acre of vegetation to be burned and $100 in damages. There was a third fire on June 29th on Star Canyon Road in Sheep Ranch. The cause of this fire was a weed wacker that burned 1 acre of grass vegetation. Estimated dollar damage is $200. No injuries reported. CAL Fire reports are enclosed...

Milton, CA...Multiple units are responding and air craft from Columbia to a vegetation fire near Rock Creek Land Fill off Hunt Road in Milton Area. Updates to come......UPDATE 3:30PM..Fire has spread to 50 acres. Air Attack on scene. More to come. UPDATE 3:40pm, Milton Road is closed to traffic....UPDATE 4:30 pm, a fire has now spread to 200 acres. According to the Calaveras Sheriff they may be evacuating one residence. We are on scene now and will follow with more updates. UPDATE 4:55pm...Official estimate from CAL Fire San Andreas is 200 acres. CAL Fire personnel on scene are.....

CAL Fire is reporting another fire at the 4000 block of Paloma in San Andreas area. Multiple crews are responding. More to come if needed. Currently 112 degrees sitting in Milton. Please be careful out there. (Update as of 6:18pm) The fire on Paloma Road ended up being minor. All is quiet right now. Be careful out there as it is windy and hot. |
