Jamestown, CA.......CAL Fire reported a Class C Motor Home fire is under investigation that occurred on Monday at 19130 Rawhide Road in Jamestown. There were no injuries. Total damage estimate is $5,000. CAL Fire report enclosed.....

Swathing Machine Used to Cut Grass Ruled as Cause of 72 Acre Grass Fire |

Stanislaus County, CA...CAL Fire states a swathing machine used to cut grass was the cause of the 72 acre grass fire that occurred at 22650 Milton Road in Copperopolis on Monday. Estimated damages are $14,000. There were no injuries reported. CAL Fire report enclosed....

FIRE NEWS....Two Vegetation Fires Being Reported According to CAL Fire |

CAL Fire is reporting two vegetation fires. According to Lisa Williams, there are two fires, estimated acreage is changing rapidly and spreading. There are currently 9 engines, 2 handcrews, helicoptor and overhead tankers on scene. One is at Escalon Bolleta area and the other Hwy 4 and Milton Road. No structures are threatened. (Update...these fires were reported contained shortly after 2pm this afternoon. Various agencies will have equipment on scene for a while. The Escalon-Bolleta fire is estimated at 62 acres and CAL-FIRE does not have an estimate on the Milton fire as of yet.) We will post the report when it comes in...

Escaped Debris Burn Reported on Sunday in Mountain Ranch |

Mountain Ranch, CA...CAL Fire reported an escaped debris burn on Sunday, May 17th at 9570 Cave City Road in Mountain Ranch. Damages included a small 5' x 20' spot of grass, pine needles and one pine tree were burned. No injuries reported. CAL Fire report enclosed.....

Grass Fire on Milton Road in Farmington Contained at 13.6 Acres |

Farmington, CA....Farm equipment being used to sway hay caused a grass fire yesterday at 18437 Milton Road in Farmington. There was a total of 13.6 acres of grass burned. There were no injuries. Estimated damage us $2,700.00. Full CAL Fire report enclosed....

San Andreas, CA....Friday, May 1, 2009, at 8AM, the Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is requiring burning permits within State Responsibility Areas of Tuolumne County, Calaveras County, Eastern Stanislaus County and Eastern San Joaquin County. Due to a cooler weather pattern moving into the foothills and the forecast of rain, burn hours will continue to remain open. Open burn hours will be monitored closely on a daily basis and when conditions warrant ......

San Andreas – On Monday, May 11, 2009, at 8 AM. The Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit (TCU) of CAL FIRE announces the opening of summer preparedness within the state responsibility areas of Tuolumne County, Calaveras County, Eastern Stanislaus County and Eastern San Joaquin County. The declaration of summer preparedness allows all 15 CAL FIRE stations to be staffed on a 24-hour basis to help protect California’s wild lands. The Columbia Air Base will be staffed with a helicopter starting, Monday, May 18, 2009, at 8 AM. .....

Copperopolis, CA...We just spoke with CAL-Fire on a small grass fire in the Copperopolis area. The fire grew from an escaped debris burn off of Paint Road was quickly contained this afternoon at about an acre. No structures or homes were damaged. It is waaay to early for these type of incidents. Lets be careful out there. CAL Fire Report enclosed.....

Tuolumne County, CA....CAL Fire states a kerosene lantern being dropped was the cause of a structure fire at 16359 Creekside Drive in Crystal Falls on Tuesday April 14th. There were no injuries, estimated dollar damage is $1250.00 for structure and contents. Full CAL Fire report enclosed...
