CAL Fire States Arson Cause of Small Fire in La Grange Thursday |

Stanislaus County, CA....CAL Fire is stating Arson is the cause of a small spot grass fire fire that occurred on Thursday July 17th at 19844 Hwy 132 and La Grange Dam Road. No injuries reported. Full CAL Fire report enclosed....

FIRE NEWS.....Vegetation Fire on Jacksonville Road in Tuolumne County. |

Tuolumne County, A vegetation fire is being reported on Jacksonville Road at Lulu Mine in Tuolumne County. Units are now on scene and have reported the fire being 3 acres in size with one structure possibly engulfed in flames with several other homes threatened. Check back for more updates. Update #1 Air has been called off. CAL Fire is stating they have heard there was a structure engulfed but that is not confirmed. There is currently no structures threatened. Acreage estimate is still at approx. 3 acres. It is a good sign that air has been called off and has been contained. There has been a confirmed outbuilding that has burned but no other structures. CAL Fire report should be out soon.

Tuolumne County, CA.....A vegetation fire is being reported on Highway 49 and Sims Road in Tuolumne County. Units are responding to the fire now. The size of the fire is unknown at this time. UPDATE #1: Units at scene have stated that there is "NO" fire it seems to be a blasting operation at a construction site.

Copperopolis, CA......A vegetation is being reported on Highway 4 and Appaloosa Way towards Copperopolis. Units are responding to the fire now! UPDATE #1: Units on scene have stated a roadside spot fire 40-100 foot, almost contained by locals. Fire Contained.

Tuolumne County, CA....Two vegetation fires are being reported on Jamestown Road and Lavender Lane and Race Track in Tuolumne County. Units are responding to the fire now! UPDATE #1: The first units on scene have stated that both fires are on the same side of the road, no immediate structures are being threatened, and the fire has a slow rate of spread. (Update Fires Have Been Contained)

Calaveras County, CA.....A vegetation fire is being reported at Rail Road Flat Road and Association Office Road in Wilseyville. The fire size is unknown at this time. Units are responding to the fire now! UPDATE #1: Engine 4453 is on scene reporting the fire to be 1/8 in size with a slow spread. No structures are being threatened. FIRE IS NOW CONTAINED.

Sonora, CA...An escaped debris burn caused a 1/4 acre grass fire on July 14th at 20100 Sommette Drive in Sonora on Monday, July 14th. No injuries or dollar damages reported. A citation was issued. Full CAL Fire report enclosed....

Limited Term Fire Apparatus Engineer Tim Valadez Returns to Duty |

San Andreas, CA....Limited Term, Fire Apparatus Engineer Tim Valadez returned to full active duty on June 2, 2008. He is currently stationed in West Point. On August 11, 2002, LT, FAE Valadez was involved in a rollover accident on Highway 15 in Southern California. It would be determined that the U joint and drive shaft had mechanical problems which caused the fire truck to rollover. Valadez and two other firefighters sustained major injuries. All three were air lifted to a hospital in Loma Linda. Valadez suffered from damage to his right side pelvis and right femur.....
