Bear Valley, CA...A few weeks ago we had the turkey that took up residence near Big Trees Market now we have "Greta" The Grouse that has adopted Bear Valley Cross Country as her new home. Greta is a wild and tame kind of gal! She has been known to munch on a cracker or two. If you want to buy her lunch I am sure she will take you up on it! So the next time you happen be up at Bear Valley Cross Country, be sure to stop by and say Hi to Greta. Our chat with Greta is enclosed.....

Bear Valley, CA...Get up and enjoy the fresh snow - Conditions are fantastic!! The current system will bring us snow for the next 2-3 days. Cooler temps will make way for some great powder riding! Remember to observe all posted warnings about the lower Mtn and please use caution as the avalanche risk will be moderate to high for the surrounding areas. Come on up and enjoy the awesome conditions! Ride safe!! Moderate overnight gusts expected tonight. Possible delays of lift openings. Full snow report for Tuesday enclosed...

Bear Valley, CA...Get up and enjoy the fresh snow - Conditions are fantastic!! The current system will bring us snow for the next 5 or 6 days. Cooler temps will make way for some great powder riding! Remember to observe all posted warnings about the lower Mtn and please use caution as the avalanche risk will be moderate to high for the surrounding areas. This January is providing the most epic conditions we've seen in years! The current storm cycle has dropped a whopping 43" of new snow so far, and there's still more to come. Moderate overnight gusts expected tonight. Possible delays of lift openings. Snow report is enclosed...

Bear Valley, CA...This January couldn't be better with 8ft so far this month! The current system has dropped about 27" of snow, blanketing the mountain in fresh powder! And with more in the forecast through the weekend, January will finish off with epic conditions! Snow Report for Friday enclosed....

Bear Valley, CA...Bear Valley's J3s competed at the first Junior Olympic Qualifying race of the season on Jan 19-21 at Sugar Bowl. The field included 89 men and 72 ladies competing for points toward qualifying for this year's JOs in Bogus Basin, ID. The weekend started out with favorable weather but snow showers moved in by Monday making visibility and snow conditions a bit tough. Nonetheless our team put in a good performance on all three days....
