Advice For Choosing a Back Pack from Pinnacle Physical Therapy

Angels Camp, CA...As you and your child plan and shop for the items on your “Back to School” list, think carefully about that new back pack. To avoid injury, choose a backpack that is the appropriate size for the back it needs to fit. Select a pack with well-padded shoulder straps to prevent too much pressure from being placed on the neck and shoulders. A proper fitting backpack should rest evenly in the middle of the back, with both straps placed on the shoulders. Straps should be snug, but not overly tight; basically, the strap should be easy to take on and off but not allow the pack to hang more than 4 inches below the waist. If the backpack comes with a waist belt, it should be worn to help distribute the weight more evenly...

Bear Valley Music Festival Offers Enchanting Closing Weekend

Bear Valley, CA...“Attendees of the 45th annual Bear Valley Music Festival have been delighted with the quality of this year’s series and the smaller tent and more intimate setting. We are also excited about the music Michael Morgan has planned during the closing weekend. Charlie & Lola Are Waiting For You

Here are some of dogs that are currently at the county shelter and available for adoption. While these dogs are at the county shelter, Calaveras Humane Socoety is working to get them out and into their forever homes. Charlie is a Bloodhound/German Shepherd mix and is about 10 to 12 months old. He weighs 51 lbs., and is still growing. Lola is an Anatolian mix (maybe Saluki) and is about 2 years old. Bear Valley, CA...The 2013 Bear Valley Music Festival opened with sold out shows. When "Asleep At The Wheel" rolled into the festival tent there was a waiting list of about 7O. Not only is the Bear Valley Music Festival having a good 2013 run Bear Valley is having a good summer as well. With live music at the Bear Valley Amphitheater by Sky High Pizza and the Bear Valley Lodge has reopened after new carpets and improvements...

Traffic Update...Lumber Truck Blocking Hwy 4 East of Lake Alpine

Lake Alpine, CA....A viewer emailed us and CHP is now reporting a big rig blocking traffic in the twistys east of Lake Alpine. A big rig tow is on the way. The viewer stated that anything but small vehicles is unable to get by at this time. Update there was also a vehicle vs pedestrian accident on Winton Road.
