Traffic Update...Disabled Big Rig at Cadillac Curve

Posted by: thepinetree on 06/01/2013 05:20 PM
Lake Alpine, CA...Tow crews are being located to assist a big rig that is disabled or stuck at Cadillac Curve. This curve as many of you may know is a hairpin just over the summit of Ebbetts Pass that has claimed many vehicles over the years. Two years ago a loaded big rig became stuck here and in trying to maneuver their way around it their trailer went off and pulled the tractor off backwards. The driver and his passenger bailed out as their rig went down into the canyon. The curve gets it's name from the wreckage of a Cadillac from decades ago that still resides there.
