Bear Valley, CA....Boyz Nite Out, a vocal quintet from San Francisco that combines smooth five part harmony with a range of musical instruments they create vocally, has been added to the Bear Valley Music Festival and will perform Thursday, August 12 at 7 p.m. Specializing in original, cover, pop, golden oldies, and rockin’ upbeat music, this high-energy group creates all-vocal drums, guitars, and horns to go along with their singing style to make the audience feel like there’s an entire band on stage.....

Bear Valley, CA....Hello Bear Valley Powder and Adventure Enthusiasts, Almost hard to believe but another foot of snow is due to arrive by Friday morning in Bear Valley! Therefore we are excited to announce that we are offering another Post Season Snowcat Ski/Board Adventure on Friday, May 28! Participants will literally have their own private ski resort. Bear Valley received 4 inches of wet heavy snow last night and its currently snowing steadily. We are expecting another 6-12 inches of snow and colder temperatures by Friday morning and anticipate good powder conditions for this program. The plan is to utilize the snowcat to access the upper bowls at the ski resort on terrain regularly accessed by the Koala and Kuma chairlifts....

Bear Valley, CA....A Celebration of life is planned for Greg Peterson on Saturday, June 12, 2010 from 12:00pm - 5:00pm at the Bear Valley Lodge in Bear Valley Village. Please bring your love and support... Greg is a truly kind and pure soul and it is so rare to experience such a person in life. He has touched the lives of many and will be with us in our hearts forever. There is an Assistance Fund set up at Bank of America in Arnold for Greg's family,. Please make donations in care of "Peterson Assistance Fund." Greg Peterson, age 42, a resident of Bear valley, perished this week after being involved in a tragic motorcycle accident. He leaves behind his lovely wife Jolee, and two beautiful boys, Jesse and Zach. People can RSVP for his Celebration of Life on.....

Bear Valley, CA....Engaging all the sights and sounds of the spectacular Sierra Nevada, the Bear Valley Safe and Active Family Experiences (BVSAFE) Summer Camp is a premier 8 week high sierra day camp challenging, motivating, and educating kids aged 3 - 18 from June 21 through to August 13, 2010. Building on the success of last summer’s expanded day camp, the Bear Valley Parents Group’s (BVPG) is further embellishing this summer’s unique high sierra day camp with more activities and extended hours. The “Grizzly Day Camp” will run 9 AM - 3 PM for children 6 - 14 years of age. BVSAFE will now also offer children ages 3 - 5 the chance to join the fun from 9 AM -1 PM in its newly fashioned “Cub Day Camp.” Along with classic activities including mountain biking, rock climbing and kayaking, the day camps will now offer sailing, windsurfing, paddle boarding, water polo, archery, river walks, jewelry making backpacking, survival skills training and more. The camps ends with an overnight “jamboree” at Highlands Lakes inviting with everyone invited.....

Bear Valley, CA...You may have noticed several posts on the condition and passing today of 42 year old Bear Valley resident, Greg Peterson, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. When we were working this story we came across an article where Greg was featured prominently. It was a story on a CBS visit to Bear Valley to record a piece on life in Bear Valley. We thought we would pass it along again to help put a face to the name for many of you who probably saw Greg at work but may have not known him personally. If you have visited Bear Valley Village during the winter you have seen his handiwork...
