Bear Valley, CA.....Nothing like spring in mountains!! Enjoy the slopes then head out to the sundeck to taste some of the best wines in California as several local wineries join us slopeside for some cool jazz, wine and sun (conditions permitting). And what goes better with a glass of the finest reds and coolest whites? How about the RedSkunk Jipzee Band. Join us on the deck on March 27th for some live music with the REDSKUNK JIPZEE swing band and smooth wines. This group of musicians are sure to entertain with their selection of originals and swingin’ classics. Lest we not forget the wine!! The first annual “Village Jam” will take place this Saturday in Bear Valley Village. Terrain park manager Mike Schimke as some fun planned as we play our own Jib Jam version of H-O-R-S-E…. 5th Annual Slush Cup High Sierra Championship Coming up on March 28th!

Bear Valley, CA....The 5th Annual Slush Cup will be held at BV on Sunday March 28. The Slush Cup is a dual GS race set on Rodeo (Super Cub chair) where racers race head to head against a competitor of their choosing in the morning qualifying, then run head to head with a competitor with comparable qualifying times in the afternoon final. This is a fun event for all ages and abilities with awards in age, gender and alpine/non-alpine(snowboard, tele) categories. Video of Last Year's Fun Event Below....

Bear Valley, CA...Surrounded by the majestic peaks of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Bear Valley Music Festival will present a wide variety of classical music during its sixteen-day season that begins Saturday, July 31.
“We believe we have assembled a series of programs that will appeal to our diverse audiences who have in common an appreciation for fine music,” says Carter Nice, who has been the festival’s Music Director and Conductor for 26 years and has conducted over 200 performances of the Bear Valley Festival Orchestra. “We are also pleased to welcome back the remarkable young pianist Di Wu who was such a hit with our audiences last year“

Bear Valley, CA...YESSSSS!!!!! 7″ of new snow overnight plus the 6″ we recieved yesterday gives us a total of 13″ and should make for some awesome riding conditions! Partly cloudy skies today and well… after that it could be time to think about breaking out the sunscreen for a few weeks as the change is about to begin..Beware of the ”IDES’S OF MARCH”. Tuolumne County, CA...The spirit of the Winter Olympics will live on with competition for senior winter sports competitors during The First Annual California Senior Winter Games, March 11 - 14, 2010. The event, to be held at Dodge Ridge Wintersports Area, Pinecrest, California, is expected to attract hundreds of senior athletes and their families to the ski area. Open to athletes from across the nation (women and men—50 years and older competing in five-year age groups), the four-day competition will feature downhill skiing, telemark, snowboarding, cross-country skiing and demonstrations.....
