Angels Camp, CA....In this episode of Elémentaire TV, Jenny makes a fabulous roast gamehen with orange and sage and Dave shares his special cranberry compote recipe. Elémentaire is the creation of two professional cooks dedicated to helping take the mystery out of making delicious meals from scratch. Our goal is to educate through the use of culinary terms and techniques and also inspire, through the use of the freshest seasonal ingredients, all who watch to make their own meals to enjoy at home. Every Sunday Night at 8pm we will premier another, great, new episode of Elémentaire with Jenny & Dave.

Murphys, CA...An opportunity for area residents to enjoy an authentic African dinner while supporting a worthy cause will be offered in the Native Sons Hall, 389 Main St., in Murphys on Friday, November 15th from 6 to 8:30 p.m.. Proceeds from the dinner will help the Abandoned Children and Youth Association (ACYA) that runs an orphanage in Uganda that houses and cares for 30 children who have lost their parents to AIDS...

Chispa Parlor #139 of the Native Sons of the Golden West will serve an All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast at the Native Sons Hall at 389 Main Street, Murphys, from 7:30 to 11:30 am on November 17. Pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, orange juice, coffee and hot chocolate will be served for $6 for adults and $3 for children 10 and younger.

Murphys, CA...It seems that television crews are now a regular occurrence in our humble little county. If this keeps up we will all be D-Listers. The Food Network Show "Restaurant Impossible" and their lucky subject "Hillbillies" is undergoing a "Restaurant Impossible" transformation. The premise of the show is to take Two Days and $10,000 to perform a restaurant makeover. When we stopped by today the area was a beehive of action. People were necessarily circumspect when spoken to as all of them were under the rules of the NDAs they all signed. Once the shoot is over and "Hillbillies" reopens in its updated glory we will have another great place to "Do Lunch" My people will call your people and set something up...
