Tuolumne County Restaurant Week is Almost Here!

The Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau is presenting the first ever Tuolumne County Restaurant Week January 20-26, 2013. This inaugural week-long celebration of local restaurants is also being promoted as part of a larger California Restaurant Month that lasts all of January. The idea is to get local residents and visitors out to dine at our many great restaurants. Nine Tuolumne County restaurants are participating: Banny’s at Mountain Springs, Christopher’s Ristorante Italiano, Emberz, Historic National Hotel and Restaurant, Seven Sisters at Black Oak Casino, The Cellar Door at the Groveland Hotel, The Homeplace, The Standard Pour and Willow Steakhouse and Seafood Grille. Restaurant Week goers should call participating restaurants directly for reservations and details on hours of operation...

Murphys, CA...January is here, so we are once again featuring a series of optional 4-course beer paired menus every Tuesday in January. This coming Tuesday, not only will we feature great beers on this menu, we will also feature products from The Arnold Pantry, a local business supplying restaurants and the general public with locally-produced, organic, and seasonal products. The Stars of The Industry award recognizes an employee of a CH&LA member lodging property who goes above and beyond normal job responsibilities. Come to Alchemy and clear the cobwebs with two yummy dinner specials, served with selected Twisted Oak wines at $5 per glass (or $20 per bottle): Sauteed Halibut topped with lobster-shrimp sauce - paired with 2011 Verdelho. Tender braised Lamb Shank with porcini demiglaze, local white corn polenta, and roasted Winter vegetables - paired with our limited production 2009 Sheep Shack Vineyard Tempranillo.
