Bear Valley, CA...It will be a busy weather week and we have posted the forecast for elevation as it has the most impact on our economy this time of year. The weather snapshot starts at Bear Valley and then drops to Arnold, Murphys, Angels Camp and Copperopolis. This hopefully will give you a glimpse of what to expect by elevation. Today: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. South wind between 8 and 16 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Tonight: Snow. Low around 24. Breezy, with a south southwest wind between 16 and 23 mph, with gusts as high as 34 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible....

Bear Valley, CA...We have made some improvements to our weather page this morning based on recommendations from Bear Valley Cross Country. Our weather page now reflects what they have found is the most accurate location for Bear Valley Weather. We have also added a permanent Copperopolis weather snapshot block as well. What follows is the forecast for the Bear Valley area for the week. As the weather changes our areas entertainment focus heads towards the high country...

Angels Camp, CA...The water was just peaking through the ice on Mosquito Lake on Saturday in the photo below as spring is just coming to the high country. Now is a perfect time to take a drive over the Ebbetts Pass Scenic Byway. The temps are cool and the flowers are blooming over the pass as the summer shade of brown covers the fields and hills at lower elevations.
