Mountain Ranch, CA...There was an escaped debris burn that spread to 1/4 acre of vegetation on April 25th at 6236 Swiss Ranch Road in Mountain Ranch. No dollar damage or injuries reported. Full CAL Fire report is enclosed.....

Mountain Ranch, CA....CAL Fire has sent the official fire report on the escaped debris burn that spread to a 2 acre vegetation fire at 6236 Swiss Ranch Road in Mountain Ranch yesterday afternoon. There were no injuries and no dollar damage reported. CAL Fire report enclosed.....

San Andreas, CA...After a round of public meetings, including a study session with the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors, and much public dialogue we can report the following to you. We confirmed that the Building Department changed the way they “interpret” our current Fire and Life Safety Code mid year 2007. They were strongly challenged for taking this new position and we did have some limited success in softening the impact. Where the mitigation since 1992 was to pave the driveway, that is no longer the rule of the land....

Mountain Ranch, CA...When we spoke with CAL-FIRE's Lisa Williams a few minutes ago she wanted us to stress that when you have a debris pile burning you are supposed to have a 10 foot perimeter down to the dirt around the fire and are supposed to man the fire at all times as well. The Mountain Ranch Blaze was about two acres in size and had two state and two local engines and helicopter 404 even made an appearance...

Mountain Ranch, CA.....The Gas Station located at 8032 Mountain Ranch Road in Mountain Ranch was apparently robbed on Thursday evening during closed business hours. There were no personnel present when the robbery occurred. There is $300.00 CASH REWARD Being Offered by Mountain Ranch area businesses for information leading to the conviction of the person responsible for the Thursday night robbery. They will keep your name anonymous. Call 754.0835. We have not received the official Sheriffs release as of yet, but as soon as we do will put it up. |
