Neighbor Dispute Leads to Fatal Shooting in Rail Road Flat |

Rail Road Flat, CA...On Saturday, June 26, 2022 at about 9:00 pm, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call of a reported shooting in the 600 block of Ridge Road in Rail Road Flat. The caller indicated that a person had been shot. The caller reported that the person suspected of shooting the victim was still in the area.

On Christmas morning in 1968, the old store was destroyed by fire. But in June 1969, Sender’s Market, Inc. was opened. Since that time, there have been many changes, including remodeling, expansion, and the addition of many employees. That’s also when we added the truss plant and purchased Sender’s Market Ace Hardware in Valley Springs. Today, we're still family owned and still working hard to stock everything from pantry essentials to power tools. Arnold, CA...An early-season heat event will impact interior northern California early this week due to high pressure in place over the region. High temperatures will climb above the century mark across much of the Valley and lower foothills today. Expected highs across the Valley and foothills will range from 95 to 110 degrees.
