Sender's Market's Weekly Ad & Grocery Specials Through August 4th

Posted by: thepinetree on 07/29/2020 08:31 PM
Mountain Ranch, CA...In 1950, we started out as a family operation with Erich’s father and mother, August and Freida Sender, in a century-old adobe building. The upstairs was home to the Sender family, and the first floor included groceries, a meat market, a bar, and a small eating place called Opa’s Smokehouse. On Christmas morning in 1968, the old store was destroyed by fire. But in June 1969, Sender’s Market, Inc. was opened. Since that time, there have been many changes, including remodeling, expansion, and the addition of many employees. That’s also when we added the truss plant and purchased Sender’s Market Ace Hardware in Valley Springs. Today, we're still family owned and still working hard to stock everything from pantry essentials to power tools. Whether you've got questions about the perfect cut of meat or the right kind of paint, our helpful, knowledgeable staff has you covered.

Reopening Plan for Calaveras Schools

Posted by: thepinetree on 07/24/2020 09:20 AM
Angels Camp, CA...The plans for Calaveras County Schools and the fall reopening plans have been developed with technical assistance from Calaveras County Public Health. According to guidance from the California Department of Public Health on July 17, 2020, “ California public schools (traditional and charter), private schools (including nonpublic nonsectarian schools), school districts, and county offices of education, herein referred to as schools, will determine the most appropriate instructional model, taking into account the needs of their students and staff, and their available infrastructure. This guidance is not intended to prevent a school from adopting a distance learning, hybrid, or mixed-delivery instructional model to ensure safety. Schools are not required to seek out or receive approval from a state or local public health officer before adopting a distance-learning model .” https://files.covid19.ca.gov/pdf/guidance-schools.pdf

Calaveras Unified Prepares for Unconventional Start to School Year

Posted by: thepinetree on 07/16/2020 11:11 PM
San Andreas, CA...Calaveras Unified is preparing and planning for an unconventional start to the school year that is set to begin on August 12th. Student, staff and campus densities and plans will be based on the COVID-19 guidelines from the state. Superintendent Mark Campbell held a video session to provide information as they know it at this time. Below is the video and also the notes from the session...click on the Opening Guideline image for the full pdf. We know this is CUSD specific but parents at other school districts will most likely see variations on a COVID-19 Guidelines driven theme...

The Superintendents of Calaveras County Would Like to Address Youth Sports Under COVID-19.

Posted by: thepinetree on 07/07/2020 12:51 PM
Angels Camp, CA....We understand the value and importance of youth sports to our students, families, and the community. Many of you have been asking for youth sports to return. Currently, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has not issued guidance on this topic and has advised local public health departments that they did not have the authority to grant permission for those activities. If local permission had been granted, then it would have to be rescinded.
