San Andreas, CA...Gardens to Grow In, in partnership with Calaveras High School’s Future Farmers of America (FFA) program, received a huge financial boost this past week to help them develop an Ag Mentorship Program, as one of five programs in the state to receive a CDFA CalAgPlate grant in the inaugural year of the program. The Agency is recruiting drivers to assist with delivering Meals-on-Wheels to our homebound clients, and for the Silver Streak Transportation Program, which provides transports to those over the age of 60 to medical, dental, and other medical related appointments... |

Staff and consultants will be available to answer questions on the draft general plan, review the draft land use map, and assist citizens in identifying land use designations for their property. Mark Twain Medical Center Awards over $25,000 in Community Grants To Area Not-For-Profit Organizations |

San Andreas, CA...Mark Twain Medical Center (MTMC) has selected several Calaveras County not-for-profit organizations to receive the Mark Twain Medical Center Community Grant for 2014. “On behalf of Mark Twain Medical Center, we are pleased to award over $25,000 in community grants this year,” announced Craig Marks, Hospital President. “The Mark Twain Medical Center Community Grants Program is designed to support not-for-profits that collaborate to address community health needs, particularly those that focus on underserved populations. Therefore, the projects to be funded must involve collaboration with 3 other local organizations and be linked to MTMC. Each of these selected organizations provides invaluable services to our community, and we are thankful for all that they do.”
