Mokelumne, CA...As 2013 draws to a close. We all look forward to a fresh start in the New Year. Deborah Marlene’s is doing just that. This month, Deborah will be featuring works that she did “En Plein Air e” in France. I was privileged to travel to France twice with a group of artists from Murphys. These trips were lead by the late Lura Francis.. Lura was Deborah’s teacher for several years. “ I do credit Lura with much of the knowledge that I have in handling and delivering paint and water to the paper....

A spectacular 6-course fixed menu will be served, the cost is $65 per person. The menu is attached. RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Three seating times to choose from - 5:15p, 7:30p and 8:15p. Those reserving at 7:30p and 8:15p may keep their table throughout the rest of the evening to ring in the New Year....

Local Schools Help The Food Bank |

Angels Camp, CA...In an effort to provide a donation to the Resource Connection Food Bank, the Calaveras County Office of Education reached out to county schools asking for donations of canned and non-perishable food items. We received generous donations from Kathi Grover’s class at Albert Michelson School, Jacey Bray’s class at Bret Harte High School, and Jane Ferguson’s class at Mountain Oaks School. We wish to thank them as well as Bret Harte Leadership students Sean Krpan and Brandon Kelly, Calaveras River Academy students Mike Vasco, Alex Mooshi, and Austin Underhill for helping us build a canned food tree in our lobby. Because of the effort and generosity of these individuals and all others involved in the food drive, CCOE was able to make a sizeable donation to the food bank this holiday season...

She was born on March 23rd, 1960 in Spokane, WA. to John Grundy and Betty Erickson. She loved Reading, Writing, Latch Hook Rugs/Crafts and Spending time with family and friends.. |
