Calaveras County High Schools Host “CASEY’S PLEDGE” Activity

Angels Camp, CA...The Friday Night Live Chapters at Bret Harte and Calaveras High School invited students to take “Casey’s Pledge,” a promise to be sober or not drink and drive before their prom on April 27th. “Casey’s Pledge” is a statewide prevention program that encourages youth to take an active role in reducing the negative effects of underage alcohol use and drinking and driving.
Sonora, CA...The Columbia College Fire Academy is pleased to announce that 24 students have earned graduation and Certificates of Completion from the Fire Technology Program. Students who completed Firefighter 1 and 2 were awarded their certificates on May 2, 2024 at Columbia College in Oak Pavilion.
Sonora, CA...Among the graduating class of Fall 2023, 25 Associate of Arts Degrees have been conferred, 6 Associate of Arts Transfer Degrees, 32 Associate of Science Degrees, and 10 Associate of Science Degrees. Seventeen (17) students will graduate with distinction (cumulative grade point averages of 3.75 or better**) and 9 with honors (between 3.5 and 3.74 grade point averages*).
