Murphys, CA....Gold Country Roasters has opened their doors after purchasing Gold Country Coffee and moving the business across the street to 78 Scott Street New co-owners Gail Bunge and Lisa Schwartz, both long-time area residents, have bought the business and extended the hours and offerings. Ted Bunge will be bringing his love of craftsmanship and quality to the coffee roasting side of the business. He will build on the 18 years of quality roasting by Matt Cullen. Gold Country Roasters, will continue the tradition of weekly on-site roasting and custom blending of coffees from Sumatra, New Guinea and Columbia so that customers can continue to enjoy the freshest possible coffee along with favorite varietals and blends. Gold Country Roasters also plans on expanding the choice of available coffees to include new varietals from Africa, Central and South America, and will be developing new custom bean blends....

Gold Country Roasters has installed a newly refurbished San Franciscan roaster, a 25- pound, propane-fired drum roaster manufactured by CoffeePER of Fallon, Nevada.
Gold Country Roasters will offer wholesale and retail bulk coffee beans, espresso drinks, brewed coffee, tea and Chai, fruit smoothies and fresh, locally made breakfast pastries and sweets. The new retail shop and roastery will be open from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Monday – Friday and from 8am – 5pm on the weekends, with indoors and outdoors seating available and free Wi-Fi for customers.
