Harry Reid is Corrupt as is the Federal Government
Posted on: 2014-04-12 07:49:31   By: Anonymous

The director of the BLM is a former staffer of Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D). Apparently Reid, who has never held a non government job in his life and is a multimillionaire, is in cahoots with a Chinese corporation who wants this rancher's land to build a solar farm. The BLM land grab has nothing to do with the desert tortoise and in fact, the BLM is euthanizing approximately a 1000 desert tortoise as they have no place to keep them. The BLM has offered this man nothing for the improvements his family has put into the land over the last hundred years such as fencing, roads, and stock tanks. As usual, the government will not tell the rancher or the public what they have done with the man's cattle they have wrongfully stolen.

The corrupt mainstream media, ivy league educated and having no understanding of the west, will cheerfully echo the government's spin and propaganda on this issue. Do some internet research on this and you will find all of this to be true.

The United States government is corrupt, operating in violation of the constitution and the constitutional oath all elected, military, and civilian personnel are required to take.

Worry for the day when they come after yours, as FDR (D) did in 1933, when he declared it illegal for Americans to own gold, required gold be sold to the government for $22/oz, and he resold it to the world market at $35/oz.

Gotta love those Democrats. All 3 of the suspended senators in California are Democrat. Can imagine how hypocritical Leland Yee is, pushing for control, violating your second amendment and then caught gun running automatic weapons and other military grade weaponry?

Think about why the government wants your guns when you watch the Nevada rancher surrounded by snipers and other specially trained government mercenaries with fully automatic weapons which our corrupt Senator Feinstein calls our simple non automatic guns "assault weapons"

YaYaYa! Rancher Bundy must think the laws don't apply to him.

Responsible ranchers all over the west pay their grazing fees, why shouldn't Rancher Bundy.

BLM is treating him fairly. He has had 20 years to own up to his responsibility to pay grazing fees. He is also in defiance of court orders and could have been be jailed. Still BLM negotiates with him.

Funny thing - the instant Harry Reid got tagged as a possibly person of interest behind all this, the order came for the Feds to pull out of this operation !!! For the safety of the civilian protestors of course. . . Lets try connecting the dots here folks its really not that hard. Reid's corrupt -- But like Benqazzi [sp], the IRS Scandal, Fast and Furious - the details will be very slow in coming !

AMEN!!!!!!! Harry Reid is a piece of #*$%. He tells bald face lies on the floor of the senate and is never called out by his lemmings in the "Main stream media". I watch a ton of live floor coverage from both the senate and the house and see these lies for myself. I don't rely on any one "news" outlet when I can watch the actions of these "representatives" live and unfiltered.

What the BLM did wrong was making him build roads, put up fencing and improving their land for free and then charging him to use it. The real issue is that Harry Reid and his buddies want this land for a solar farm and could give a crap about the desert tortoises (which they are killing because they have no room for them at their so called sanctuary). For those in the know about what the BLM is really about know that they live up to their name, Bureau of Land-grabbing Maggots. I am glad to see them back off when thousands of people showed up in support the rancher. Maybe if more people stood up to this tyranical government we wouldn't be losing our rights right and left because of this arrogant pig we have as president.

Let's be clear about this. Bundy had his days-yes days- in the courts. He was constantly told to get his cows of public land. He said he obeyed "almost zero" federal laws. He is not a hero, he is a small time criminal who should be in jail. And anyone who agrees with him is absolutely a simpleton. And anyone who advocates violence or the threat of violence against the laws of this nation is no patriot, but is not much better than a terrorist or traitor like Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City Bomber. This nation, no nation is perfect, but there is no respect among intelligent people for this right wing revolutionary BS. If you can't respect peaceful change, if you advocate violence and threats of violence, then get the heck out of this great nation. You are no patriot.

    Beautifully stated.

Bundy had 20 years to pay. He said on live TV that he never did pay. It was his risk to improve the property. It was never his.

If you or I failed to pay our tax bills after 20 years don't you think the government would have taken our homes by then?

Many of you folks posting here are just spewing the same ol' FOX News soundbites. This just gives you an unfounded reason to beat your chests and grunt against the government.

    Get real.

All The World's A Stage, and Cliven Bundy is not the player.

The "standoff" in Nevada isn't about Cliven Bundy. It's not about "grazing fees." It isn't about "Freedom from Tyranny," the "First Amendment" or "Sovereignty." It isn't even about cows.

It's about money for two Billionaires with whom we're all familiar. Two affiliates of the Koch-funded group,Americans for Prosperity, are helping conservative media promote the cause of a Nevada rancher who has made violent threats against the federal government. That's right, it's a Koch-ified fiasco.

To appreciate this, one only has to go back to 2012 when the Utah legislature passed something called the Transfer of Public Lands Act, legislation vetted and inspired by none other than the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC), whose chief funders include--you guessed it--David and Charles Koch.

The Transfer of Public Lands Act (TPLA), passed in 2012 and signed by Gov. Gary Herbert, an enthusiastic backer, mandates that the Forest Service, with 15 percent of Utah land, and the Bureau of Land Management, with about 42 percent, relinquish their domain to the statehouse no later than 2015. (That means you and I would no longer own this land) "Relinquish their domain to the statehouse" means that the lands would go from Federal to state stewardship. As pointed out by David Garbett, a lawyer with the nonprofit Southern Utah Western Alliance:

“The only way the Utah legislature can generate money from the public lands is to ramp up development and hold a fire sale to clear inventory. That means that the places the public has come to know and love will be sold to the highest bidder and barricaded with ‘No Trespassing’ signs.” Similar bills are proliferating in other Western states where most of the land is managed by a federal agency. The "Transfer of Public Lands" bills produced by ALEC are then hawked by industry-friendly local politicians and sold to the public as providing additional funding for non-industry purposes such as funding education, health and infrastructure improvements through "unleashing the energy" of public lands.

In other words, by selling them to mining, shale and oil interests, run by (among others) Charles and David Koch.

Utah’s Transfer of Public Lands Act is an updating of that old land-grabbing con game that has characterized the West. And it has powerful corporate backers. The legislation first made an appearance in a 2011 meeting of the conservative American Legislative Exchange Council, which works with state lawmakers to draft “model legislation.” Lisa Graves, the executive director of the Center for Media and Democracy, which runs an ALEC watchdog unit, describes the group as a “corporate and partisan lobby masquerading as a charity, allowing some of the most powerful corporations and richest CEOs to get their legislative wish lists in the hands of politicians eager to please special interests.” ALEC’s agenda, befitting the concerns of its chief funders, the archconservative energy magnates Charles and David Koch, is to bolster corporations’ interests without publicly disclosing those corporations’ influence on the bills ALEC task forces produce. Graves describes this as “legislation laundering.”

        You got that right!!

The Kochs want to turn public opinion against the federal government, delegitimize the Bureau of Land Management that oversees public lands, and take over their stewardship of lands that Koch-run industries want to get their hands on.

These include lands in Nevada, Utah and pretty much anywhere else they can dig, frack or mine. This isn't about some silly rancher's "grazing fees," to the Kochs and their business pals. It's about their desire to exploit, despoil and pollute lands that we, the public, own by virtue of our citizenship. That's not "freedom." It's greed.

In fact, it's almost tragic to see how ignorant Calaveras tea partiers like Joh and other "militia groups" that pride themselves on their purported "independence" and "freedom" so willingly allow themselves to be duped by people whose only interest is to exploit the land for their own purposes. It is clear the Kochs self-serving greed won't hesitate to gin up an armed confrontation in which people could conceivably die, simply for the purpose of lining their own pockets.
